*by $hit we mean YOUR data

Every major fitness app is selling your data.

Every single motherf*cking one.

Even to insurance companies — so they can jack up your rates. John Hancock requires fitness tracking on all new life insurance policies. Your premiums are adjusted based on your activity data. Miss your step goals? Pay more.

21 data types collected by Fitbit — location, contacts, photos, health info, browsing history
21 data types Strava shares with third parties — more than any other fitness app tested
80% of top fitness apps actively share your tracked data with third parties including data brokers
61M fitness records exposed in a single data breach in 2021 — Fitbit and Apple device data leaked online

Data brokers buy your workout routes, heart rate patterns, and location history from these companies. Insurance firms use it to adjust your premiums. Advertisers use it to target you. Government agencies purchase it without a warrant. Your "free" fitness app costs you your privacy.

PFFT circles

private workout groups

Share workouts with family and friends — end-to-end encrypted. Create a circle via QR code. See everyone's routes on one shared polymap. Nobody outside the circle can read your data. Not even us.

2–12 people per circle · AES-256-GCM

zero-knowledge architecture

We use mathematics — not promises — to protect your privacy. Every workout shared in a circle is encrypted with a key that only circle members have. There is no server that can read your data. The relay (if used) sees only encrypted noise. We couldn't decrypt it even if we wanted to. That's not a policy — it's math.

FAQ

On your device. Period. PFFT uses Android's hardware-backed keystore (via expo-secure-store) to encrypt every workout with AES-256. There is no server, no cloud sync, no account system. We literally cannot see your data because it never leaves your phone.
We ship published population statistics from the CDC, WHO, and ACSM inside the app. After your workout, the app compares your stats against these distributions — entirely locally on your phone. No network call, no server, no opt-in. The math happens on your device.
Walk, run, hike, bike, e-bike, ski, swim, row, and skate. Each has custom GPS settings, activity-specific auto-pause profiles that learn from your workouts, and custom SVG iconography.
Android first (Google Play, April 2026). iOS is planned for later in 2026. Join the waitlist and select "iOS" — we'll let you know the moment it's available.
Yes, the core app is free forever. A Pro subscription ($5.99/mo or $49.99/yr) unlocks advanced features and removes the sponsor card. 10% of every purchase goes to charity — currently Tucson Youth Music. That's half what Strava charges.
Coming post-launch: private groups of 2–12 people who share workout stats with end-to-end encryption. Create a circle via QR code. See everyone's routes on one shared map. The relay server (if used) is blind — it cannot read your data. Only circle members with the encryption key can.
Pro subscriptions and sponsorships. No ads. No data sales. No investor pressure to monetize your information. PFFT products are ad-free. Our sponsor Alchemy Foods supports the free tier.
